Arunachal: Miscreants attacked APSTS bus, driver injured

One APSTS Bus which was on route from Itanagar to Shillong, attacked by some miscreants in Balipara of Assam on Tuesday night at about 11 pm.  The miscreants hurled stones on the APSTS bus at Balipara, leaving the bus driver severely injured. There is a report of few passengers also got injured.

Meanwhile the photographs of damaged bus goes viral in social media and thousand of people reacting on the incident.

One Kunna Taba  commented ”  Govt. Of Arunachal and Govt. Of Assam Dep’t of Home ministry should take strong decision against terrorism. We love people of Assam, but this is 3- times tortured without specific data or information.

     

Another Klee Tamut said in social media ” This is my appeal to the State Government of Arunachal Pradesh that they should take an initiative step to overcome the matter of Assam, their riotous act is too much and it creates trepidation among the people of our State, it’s not that we don’t love them, we do love the people of Assam as it is a part of northeast but at the meantime we can’t ignore their truculent behaviour towards our people.

APST station superintendent Tuter Dolum inform that the bus was on its routine duty and was on its way to Shillong with passengers. Miscreants coming from opposite side on National Highway at  Manshari near Lokhra under Charduar police station area of Sonitpur district on Tuesday night at around 10 PM attack the APST bus resorted to stone pelting without any reason.

 

The miscreant were coming from opposite direction was in Tata mobile stop their vehicle and thrown stone targeted to driver hit the windshield glass where it broken into pieces. The driver narrowly escaped  but received minor cuts by broken glasses on head and on neck. But one passenger who was sitting in seat no.1 got internal injury on chest because the stone which they thrown directly hit to that passenger.

The name of the injured passenger is N Dada as per passengers chart maintain in the record. The crew members of the bus Gyamar Tai driver on seat 2. Tarak Tapok driver and Tai Yagrang conductor.

FIR could not be submitted because police who came on spot told bus have to taken to police station and it has to conduct MVI report which is a long process. On the request of the  passengers to take them to destination for their important works the bus went to its destination at Shillong.  FIR will be submit tonight at Chardhaur police station. Dolum said.

It would be the handywork of private operators who are on stiff competition with the APST. Otherwise there is no reason and this is the second time within a week. First was also under this route in Swaibari area and that stone was thrown from jungle. Dolum added.
