A women have been killed in a hit and run case on NH-415 in Nirjuli township of capital complex today evening.
Nirjuli Police Station OC, Inspector Tadu Hassang when contacted inform that it is case of Hit and Run. A women have been killed by a speeding four wheeler on NH-415 near Cinema Hall of Nirjuli this evening.
As per information received at around 7.15 PM that a women have been hit by a speeding four wheeler. The victim was immediately evacuated to Tomo Riba Institute of Health & Medical Science (TRIHMS) by the locals where the doctor declared brought dead.
She has been identified as Tara Rai, 48 years wife of Nanak Rai a restaurant owner at Nirjuli market Line. A case have been registered vide No-49/2019 u/s-279, 304 (A) IPC and further investigation have been launched.
When asked of any information/clue of the type of vehicle involved in the case. It may be a Scorpio as onlookers have suspected. OC added.
