“The Assam Police Raps and Rhymes!” – Mr. Harmeet Singh visits Royal Global University

Royal Global University welcomed Mr. Harmeet Singh, the Additional Director General of Police, Assam on the occasion of PG Orientation Program for students, 2019. Mr. Harmeet Singh shared how the Assam Police works tirelessly for the safety and security of the citizens and how they keep Social Media under surveillance to redefine governance, politics, society and everything in between.
He also shared with the students, experiences from his life, about how he landed with the government despite him being a student of History. He shared words of wisdom with students on friendship, self-discipline, sincerity, success and the use of social media.
He stressed on how Internet technology has changed the way we communicate, socialize, and mobilize with others in a society. Peer pressure was one of the issues he addressed, as many students fall prey to such pressures.
Harmeet Singh went on to explain that the Internet today, is a powerful medium, but with freedom and empowerment comes diligence and accountability.
The Assam Police is targeting both the Millennials and the Gen Z, who live on this virtual continent most of the time, to avoid any possible “recipe for disaster” from cooking up.
He also highlighted how the Police Department uses Memes, Pop Culture and the Bollywood to influence youngsters in the most creative and engaging ways, which is being highly appreciated by both national and International media.
