After several persuasion and submission of ultimatum on December 14 2016 by the villagers of seven villages of the area the joint inspection and survey was made in the month of April 2017, marking on the boundary wall was also done by themselves and they assured to start construction of widened road but even passing of several month no action have been imitated from their end.
Since the breadth of the road is too small and absence of the drainage system is posing a serious threat to the passerby and local resident on the roadside and to the most sufferers are the students. Due to heavy downpour and heavy flood the condition of the present state of affairs of the said road is horrible and several accidents occurred in recent past and affairs of the day.
In view of above facts and circumstances face by the local people of the area the PRI member on behalf of the villagers have demanded immediate redressal of the genuine demand for widening and proper drainage of the existing road and till the existing road is under renovation the old road may be allowed to use by the public within seven days or otherwise the local people of the area would take continue to start the old road as their own road for their convenience.
Meanwhile few students of the Nirjuli Secondary School who reside in the locality also face lots of inconveniences due to flooded road. One Techi Meka of Class-IX while Tadar Neme said that they have been facing lots of problem in rainy days as there is no drainage system and the rain water flooded and due to which they cant wear shoes and all belongings have to be kept in school bag while clothes got wet everyday.
Meanwhile Capital DC Prince Dhawan said that this problem was not brought to my notice till date. However we will soon find solution in collaboration with NERIST and local resident of the area.
