With an aim to ‘Save child,’ a street play on child labour and child marriage was organised by the Childline Itanagar and Child Welfare Committee . District Administration, Itanagar Complex supported the programme. Street Play was executed by the Master of Social Work Students of Rajiv Gandhi University, Doimukh.
Child welfare committee (CWC) Chairperson Kani Nada Maling thanks the Capital District Administration for supporting the program and appeal to all the stakeholders to come forward in SAVE CHILD CAMPAIGN.
She said that our children are our treasure and it should be our endeavour to protect them from exploitation and other problems. The future of our country depend on youths and the upcoming youth need to guided from its right time when they are child. She appeal one and all to take care of child health and career for a better future.
Child line Itanagar, Centre Coordinator Elizabeth N Tangjang urge the people to call in Childline Toll Free no. 1098 if any Child is found abandoned, missing, abused, or sees any child labour.
Child Welfare Committee, ICC Member Oyam Binggep, Staffs of Childline Child Welfare Committee, ICC and MSW Students of Rajiv Gandhi University actively participated in the programme. Street play was successfully carried out in different locations from Chimpu, Gophur Tiniali, Ganga and Zero Point Tiniali, Itanagar where huge number of public turned out.
