Inter-state boundary issue hampering development- Pema Khandu

The inter-state boundary issue is hampering development in the foothills of Arunachal Pradesh that share a very long boundary with Assam–  Pema Khandu, CM, Arunachal Pradesh.

Speaking at the 4th Convention of the North East Democratic Alliance (NEDA) here today, Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu, in his brief speech, said the inter-state boundary issue has been pending for long, which is hampering development in the foothills of Arunachal Pradesh that share a very long boundary with Assam.

He appealed to all the Chief Ministers of North East to come together and seriously take up the issue for a lasting solution.

Khandu thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and DoNER Minister Dr Jitendra Singh for their love for the North East, which he said has percolated down to the grass root as development and welfare activities.

Chief Ministers of all the North-Eastern states also spoke on the occasion besides the DoNER Minister and Heads of the regional parties that are members of NEDA.

It was resolved that leaders of all the states would meet often to consult, coordinate and work together in matters that concern the entire region.
