DG BRO Reviews Critical roads of Arunachal, meets Governor

Director General of Border Roads Organisation (DGBRO ) Lt. General Harpal Singh, AVSM, VSM reviewed the progress of works on operationally critical roads in the Area of Responsibility of Project Arunank in Arunachal Pradesh from 20 Nov to 21 Nov 2018
The DGBR inspected TCC – Taksing & TCC-Bidak on 20 Nov 2018. He travelled by road from Taksing to Gelensiniak-Bidak. Enroute the General officer inspected the ongoing road construction & took stock of plan of Bailey Bridges on various Nallahs & rivers for fair weather connectivity to Taksing and Bidak.
DGBR also inspected Hapoli – Sarli – Huri Road and expressed his satisfaction at the pace of progress, and directed that the PDC for connectivity should be met at all costs.
DGBR also called on Governor Arunachal Pradesh, Brig. (Dr.) B.D. Mishra (Retd.) and apprised about the status of road works in the state. The interaction between the BRO officials and Arunachal State dignitaries will surely pave the way for a harmonious and balanced road work progress in the state.
The Governor said that the road communication in Arunachal Pradesh is vital for the development of the State and security of the Nation. Every step must be taken to make it all weather, he emphasised.
The Governor advised the DG, BRO to study the road construction issues from Miao to Vijaynagar, Changlang District, one of the remotest circle administration centres of the State.
