Demolition of Tourist lodges in Dolungmukh is like a surgical strike- PPA

The Peoples Party of Arunachal (PPA) President Kahfa Bengia said that the demolition of tourist lodges in Dolungmukh by Assam Govt officials  was not eviction but termed it as “surgical strike” in Arunachal. Bengia demanded for shifting of the bombing zone from the area as it have been affecting the existence of the human life in the area.

Team of PPA led by its Chairman Kameng Ringu, President Kahfa Bengia, General Secretary Kaling Jerang and others visited the Dolungmukh area where the Assam forest official led by North Lakhimpur administration evicted the tourist infrastructure created by the Tourism department of Arunachal Pradesh on Friday last.

Bengia  said that  the tourist lodges  created by the Arunachal  government in Dolungmukh was in the interest of the common masses and was not a private property.  If there was any dispute the North Lakhimpur administration might have issued show cause notice or any information to the administration of Lower Subansiri or the ,local administration and it might have stopped it from further constriction.

Several people have lost their life including the cattle and local animals.  During day time the school children frightened to go to school,  while in night it is sleepless as the bombing continue whole night and fire bomb is mire dangerous for human value and inexistence, buildings are cracking, people are turning into deaf and dump, he added.

Chairman, Kameng Ringu said that the land of the area belongs to tribal people of Arunachal Pradesh and since time immoral they have been settled in these area but they migrated to the hillside slowly and the Assam people and the administration are coming toward our land. We have never tried to violate the statuesque.

If at all the Air force authority have any reservation they should complaint to the state government and the Arunachal government should have evicted and termed it as a total failure on the part of state government in coordination with the Assam counterpart.

Meanwhile Dolungmukh ZPM Bei Tasap while said that he have already written to the DC and others much earlier for shifting of the site from present location but they keep deep ear and the infrastructure come up and all theses happened.

Local people alleged that ” We have donated our land free of cost to the air fore in 1968  for the cause of national defence with a hope that we may be getting some benefit tor our elders and the present generation but it is very unfortunate that despite several repeated  request they are using the fire bomb which is affecting the health as well as economic condition and other related issue and till today we did not received any benefit from the air force.”
