Seven passenger seriously injured when Tata Sumo in which they were travelling bearing registration No-AS 12 E/9932 hit by a big boulder which fall down from the mountain on Bhalukpong-Tawang road between Sessa-Ziro Point at around 10.30 this morning.
The Bhalukpong Police Station sources said that a total of 8 persons were travelling in the said Tata Sumo including the driver in which 5 male and 2 female. The Sumo which ferry passenger from Tezpur to Tawang daily basis.
The accident occurred when the Sumo was going toward Tawang and a big boulder coming down from the hill hit the Sumo inuring all seven passengers in which three seriously in which two of the have been identified as Kunjo of Seo village in Tawang, Chuki Lamu of Jimithang (Tawang) while one Non APST whose identification was not established have been sent to Tezpur for better treatment. The four minor injured person were treated at Public Health Centre at Bhalukpong and were released later on.
The Bhalukpong PS OC, Duto Bagra and ASI L Norbu along with police team and local people help in rescue and evacuating the passenger and help them in getting medical aid and other the sources said.
