Assam: 35 Inter UNIFEST 2019-20 inaugurated at Royal Global University

23 university teams depicted the cultural ethos of their State and region at Royal Global University.

The Inauguration of 35th Inter University East Zone Youth Festival (UNIFEST) 2019-20 started with a Cultural Procession March Past in which all the 23 university teams depicted the cultural ethos of their State and region at Royal Global University.

Chief Guest Mr. Mukesh Agrawal, IPS, ADGP(L & O), Guests of Honour,  Ms. Kalpana Patowary, Singer, Dr. Mallika Kandali, Xatriya Exponent, Mr. Jatin Goswami, Xatriya exponent, Mr. Dulal Roy, Eminent Theatre Director, Mr. Kapil Bora, Actor, in the presence of Prof. K.P.S Shante, AIU Observer, Mr. A.K. Pansari, Chancellor,  Mr. A.K. Modi, Pro Chancellor, Prof.(Dr.) S. P Singh, Vice Chancellor & Patron, Ms. Angira Mimani, Registrar & Cultural Coordinator, dignitaries, students, staff and faculty graced the occasion.

The Inauguration Ceremony commenced with the lighting of the lamps and felicitation of the Chief Guest and Guests of Honour, followed by a Ganesh Vandana performed by student of RGU.

In his honour Chief Guest, Mr. Mukesh Agrawal encouraged the contingents to be a part of this Mega Fest wholeheartedly making their stay at Guwahati a fruitful one and take back positive memories as winning and losing is part and parcel of a student’s life but it’s the experience of it that shapes them in future.

On popular demand Ms. Kalpana Patowary sang few lines of Bihu and Bhojpuri songs, and motivated every contestant to enjoy the festival.

Mr A.K. Pansari encouraged the participants and said that perseverance and hard work always pays dividends at the end of the day. Prof. (Dr.) S.P Singh, Vice Chancellor & Patron, welcomed all the participants and motivated the participants to make the best use of this opportunity whilst take forward its legacy.
