Hundreds of indigenous youths today hits the street of city carrying leaflet, posters and shouting slogans against the announcement and statement made by Chief Minister Pema Khandu and Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein in connection of the issue of PRC to Non APST of Lekang area as a new year gift.
The youths shouting slogans against CM and Dy CM and asking them “Apna statement wapas lo” . ” we will not allow to give PRC to Non APST at any cost, no one should curtail our right on land and property, and we will not allow to give our land to outsiders at any cost.”
The protesters have voluntary gathered at Tennis court here at around 2 PM this afternoon and sit for a dharna for an hours and then expected to marched towards the official resident of Deputy Chief Minister at Niti Vihar via Bank Tinali but the capital Police led by SDPO Make Bui, OC I/C Inspector T Tali, SI AK Singh stopped the protesters near Kingcub Public school at IG Park Gate No-1 and after lots of persuasion of the issue by them and argument with the forces they were allowed upto the try junction of Niti Vihar near Middle School.

One of the youth Laffe Paffa while talking to reporters said that we are not under any banners but all of us have gathered voluntary taking a strong sentiment on the statement made by CM & Dy CM for issue of PRC to Non APST. We will not allow outsiders to part with our land as we are indigenous and we will not tolerate such anti tribal policy and termed it as ‘Anti Arunachalee’. They should clarify in writing or in open platform and denying knowledge of statement made by Government spokesmen in this regard.
One of the protesters said that today rally was like an awareness to the people of capital city and on 27 next we will go in bigger way to show our disrespect and sentiment which is against the indigenous tribal people of state.
We will not sit idle now and continue to protest until they (CM & DCM) clarify it properly to the people of state. another protesters said.
We are now going to inform our parents to get support from them in our further movement. Said another youth while Paffa said that further our democratic movement will be carried under the banner of ‘ Arunachalee Against PRC issue of Lekang’.
