Arunachal Pradesh Literary Society held literary sitting

Arunachal Pradesh Literary Society passed another literary day through 86th literary sitting in its uninterrupted series at conference hall, J N State Museum, Itanagar chaired by its president Y D Thonchi.

The literary sitting was initiated with a melodious Hindi song by Miss Najap Duping, a student of DNG College. Miss Tolum Chum Chum, a new comer in APLS sitting and a promising poet of DNGC, Itanagar presented two English poems, `The Darkest Five Days of Month’ and `Ziro Memories’. Her realistic poems reflected her inborn talent admired by all members present in the sitting.

Later R N Koley presented a mini story in Bengali, `Maa’. Another new comer in the sitting Goli Nyodu, assistant professor of DNGC in the department of English recited a self composed English poem `A Victim’.

Inumoni Das Borah presented an article emphasizing the need of mother toung. Dr. Jamuna Bini Tadar, Assistant Professor of RGU Hindi Department presented an excellent Nyishi folktale, `Uii Mok’ in her own composition in Hindi.

Concluding presentation was made by Mukul Pathak with his poem `Khuli Thoba Hridoyor Duwar’. Yater Nyokir presented her observation on creative writing in Arunachal Pradesh as outcome of her research study.

Among others who took part in the literary discourse were Batem Pertin, Dr. Pekba Ringu, Noni Kojin and Taro Chatung. Other highlights of the day were two songs by Tridipta Trishna in English and Goli Nyodu in Galo.
