Arunachal: People of Kathan area seeks protection from militants
People of Mishmi community residing in Kathan area took out a rally and sought protection from militants active in this area .

Thousand of member from Mishmi community has raised strong voice against the atrocities being made to Kathan resident under Wakro circle of Lohit district by the militant.
A peaceful rally was taken out here on Friday that hit the road from Dangria Baba point via DC office to the township where apex body of Mishmi namely Mishmi Welfare Society (MWS) spearheaded the rally.
Thousand of youth, Civil Society, NGOs, Elite Groups, student, former PRI body and senior citizen enthusiastically participated. “Wake up govt., wake up district administration and Police before it’s too late”, “we cannot spare land to Chakma”, reverberated in the air.
Meanwhile, delegates from Lower Dibang Valley, Anjaw and Lohit also joined to express their serious concern over the illegal encroachment and harassment being meted out to the inhabitants by the intruder at the kathan area that border to Changlang district.
