Arunachal: Nyetridow Festival of Aka (Hrusso) Community begins

The 47th Nyetridow Festival of Aka (Hrusso) Community celebrated with traditional fervor and gaiety here in West Kameng district.
Minister Sports, Youth affairs Mama Natung while addressing the inaugural ceremony said that “our tradition is our culture which need to be protect and preserved for our identity”.
Natung said that all festivals of our various tribal community remind us of our rich cultural heritage and tradition which defines our true identity and strengthened our belief and rites.
Natung assured for construction for a Multipurpose Hall at Thrizino. Conservation of water resource system at Kaya Valley.
MLA Pangin, Ojing Tasing who attended the celebration as guest of honour lauded the organizing committee for a grand celebration said that it is platform for our display of rich cultural and traditional attire to the outside people of our rich cultural value and welcome guest for a post harvest season. He appeal all to maintain good relation with other community and maintain communal harmony and brotherhood for all round development of state.
Thrizino-Buragoan local MLA and chief patron Kumsi Sidisow in his address said that organizing of various festival in state give us a message for unification among the clan members and get together among all the members of that community. The festival provide us a platform for celebration with a message of unity and brotherhood and communal harmony among the member of the community with other fellow citizens of the area. He appeal the people to stand united and preserve the cultural heritage of the community and society as whole.
Organizing Chairman Sang Dorjee Sidisow also address the gathering.
Heads of department of the district among large numbers of local leaders and former PRI leaders, GBs and public were present on the occasion.
The five days celebration which began here today will culminated on November 15 shall have several programmes which include traditional sport, games and various cultural activities by various troops of the community.
