Arunachal: Milan Jyoti Club celebrated Golden Jubilee celebration
The event, comprise of sports, cultural, and literary festivities, marked the Club's fifty years of dedicated service to the Kachari Community, symbolizing their dedication to community development.
NAMSAI- The Deputy Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, Chowna Mein, graced the Golden Jubilee celebration of Kumari Kachari Milan Jyoti Club, held at the Kumari Kachari Govt. Primary School Playground at Kachari Village under Lekang Circle today. The event, comprise of sports, cultural, and literary festivities, marked the Club’s fifty years of dedicated service to the Kachari Community, symbolizing their dedication to community development.
In his address, Mein congratulated Kumari Kachari Milan Jyoti Club for its outstanding 50 years journey and highlighted the fact that being one of the oldest clubs in the region; they had served the people of the Kachari Community with elegance and sheer dedication.

Honouring the legacy of the pioneers of the club, Mein along with the others present on the occasion paid tribute to the founding members of the club. Established in 1973 by visionary individuals seeking to address the challenges faced by the youth in their village, the Kumari Kachari Milan Jyoti Club has become a symbol of positive change, Mein said and added that the club, founded to advocate for social welfare and education, has initiated numerous programs for the welfare and education of the village’s students.
Mein while remembering the founding members of the club, lauded their dedicated service to the society and for their works for the welfare and upliftment of the society through various activities such as games and sports, education and cultural.
He acknowledged the legacy of good works done by the members of the Kumari Kachari Milan Jyoti Club and exhorted to continue for several more years to come while maintaining mutual understanding and peaceful coexistence; which will also lead to the further development of the region.
Mein also applauded the Kachari community in the region for prioritising their cultural heritage, which also aligns with the GoAP’s commitment to preserve the indigenous cultures of the land. He acknowledged it to be a vital aspect for holistic development of the State, while carrying out progressive reforms towards a fully developed Nation by 2047, as envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Mein has assured to facilitate financial aid towards the construction of the club’s building for the continued growth and development of the club so as to enable it to carry its social works for the betterment of the society.
On the occasion, Mein also released the Golden Jubilee Souvenir of the Kachari Milan Jyoti Club titled ‘Our Aspirations’. It is a 50th year special edition magazine consisting insightful articles highlighting the rich history of the Kachari community in the region, along with the club’s glorious journey of fifty years.
The event was also attended by MLA Lekang Jummum Ete Deori, District BJP President, Chow Sujana Namchoom, ZPM Upper Lekang Jugesh Taye, ZPM Lower Lekang Bijoy Ballav Neog, Senior Citizens, Executive members of All Arunachal Pradesh Kachari Community Development Council, Kumari Kachari Millon Jyoti Club, among others.
