An emergency meeting of State Executive body of National People’s Party (NPP) Arunachal Pradesh held under the Chairmanship of Gicho Kabak State President at State NPP office Itanagar today. The NPP Leaders and workers deeply shocked and sadden on the brutal killing of NPP sitting MLA Late Tirang Aboh, State NPP General Secretary Late Wangngoi Hakhun and nine others who accompanying him.
Late Tirong Aboh was travelling from Dibrugarh to Khonsa along with his son, PSOs, State NPP General Secretary Wangngoi Hakhun for counting on 23rd May 2019 at Khonsa in Tirap District.
The State President Gicho Kabak strongly condemns the ambush and killing of NPP sitting MLA Tirong Aboh, State General Secretary Wangngoi Hakhun and nine others who accompanying him. Late Tirong Aboh was one of the winning candidate of NPP.
It is purely political murder by engaging insurgent groups. This is the first ever incident that insurgent group ambushed and killed contested candidate in the state assembly election.
The State NPP appeal state and central Govt. to immediately deploy paramilitary forces and conduct operation against the insurgent groups.
Also appeal the investigation team of police department to trace out the political leaders of Tirap district who involved with the militant groups for killing of Late Tirong Aboh.
The BJP spokes perons Nima Sangey Saling in his press release said that ” it is to mention here that Late Jaley Anna supporter of Late Tirong Aboh was also beaten to death by the insurgent groups on 29th March 2019 at Khonsa and Late Bengia Tamang GB veteran supporter of NPP MLA candidate Pani Taram was shot to death on 26th April 2019 near Taba polling station under Koloriang A/C in Kurung Kumey District by the Supporters of BJP MLA candidate during the election campaign”.
This is the first ever heinous crimes which has taken place during state assembly election in the state of Arunachal Pradesh,Nima said .
The state NPP also request state Govt. to provide sufficient security personnel to protect the life of NPP MLA candidates and State Party leaders because militant groups are targeting NPP MLA Candidates and State party leaders of NPP.
The state NPP appeal the people of Arunachal Pradesh to extend full support to state police and Para Military forces during investigation and operation against the militant groups for tracing out of accused involved in the case.
The National People’s Party (NPP) Arunachal Pradesh shares the pain and sorrow with the family members and relatives of late Tirang Aboh, Late Wangngoi Hakhun and others who died in terrorist attack near Khonsa. Five minutes silence was observed as a mark of tribute to the departed soul.
The State NPP prayed to Almighty God for his eternal peace in heavenly abode and bestow strength to the bereaved family members to bear the irreparable loss cause to them and also pray for early recovery of injured victims shot at by the militants during the ambushed.
