The Governor of Arunachal Pradesh Mr Tathagata Roy also convened a high level security review meeting at Raj Bhavan, Itanagar on 15th July 2016.
The Governor, while reviewing the security issues advised the senior officers and police officers to take all precautionary measure to ensure that law and order prevails and no untoward incidents take place. He also advised that the State Legislative Assembly, important routes, private residences and other properties of all stakeholders are secured and taken care.
The Governor emphasised on adequate deployment of Security Forces in all vulnerable points and pre-empt measures against anti-social elements.
Earlier, the Chief Secretary Mrs Shakuntala Gamlin, Principal Secretary Home Shri Satya Gopal, Director General of Police Mr S. Nithiananadam, Deputy Commissioner (Capital Complex) Mr Sandeep Kumar Singh and Superintendent of Police (Capital) Shri K. Aya briefed the Governor on the security arrangement in view of the political development aftermath of Supreme Court judgement.Senior officers of Home and Police Departments were also present in the meeting.
