Arunachal: ASSU organises Chiksha festival football tournament

All Sartang Students Union (ASSU) organise football tournament at khoi, Nafra on the eve of celebration of Chiksha festival of Sartang tribe which is celebrated in West Kameng District.
The tournament kick off today by BJP West Kameng District Vice President Yeshi Yamchodu at Nafra was attended by a huge gathering.
Altogether six team of the area are participating in tournament. The participating are Jerigaon FC, Kasidu FC, Khoina FC, Salari FC, Siadu brothers and All Khoina youth Association FC.
BJP West Kameng District Vice President Yeshi Yamchodu , former ASSU President Wangching Deru Mosidu and All Sartang Elite Society (ASES) Culture Secretary Bodo Yamchodu graced the occasion as chief Guest, Guest of Honour and special Guest respectively during the inaugural session.
They emphasis the players to maintain discipline, work with sincerity and play the game with team sprit and also maintain traditional value of tribal culture even if they are going outside the district or state.
ASSU President Chewang Tashi Matadu Gen. Secy Nima Sange Khatamjee also address the gathering and appeal the players to play the game to maintain healthy body and sound mind with lots of fun for the ensuing Chiksha festival
The Opening match was played between Jerigaon FC and Khoina FC.
All khoina youth Association scored 3 goals and Jerigaon FC scored 2 goals, thus the consequences of match was All Khoina youth Association won the match. The match shall continue till February 8.
