Arunachal: State is ready for Republic Day celebration

The state is all set to celebrate the 70th Republic day celebration on January 26 with all preparation including security is almost completed, said DGP SBK Singh.
DGP said that preparation is almost nearing completion. All department are doing its work which are related to celebration of the Republic day at IG Park wherein the state level function is being organised every year.
He inform that the security arrangement have also been tightened, Vehicle checking and security related activities increased in all nakas . Officers of the department have been alerted, we are ensuring for a successful celebration of the national function at IG Park and in different parts of state, Singh added.
Itanagar Capital Complex EAC Tame Yajum inform that there are ten uniform contingent including 138 Bn CRPF, 10th Bn ITBP, 31st Bn ITBP, 1st APBn Chimpu, 1st IRBn Chimpu, PTC Gent platoon, PTC Ladies platoon, Fire & Emergency Platoon, PTC Band platoon and 10th Bn of IRBn Nagaland.
The Eight contingent from various schools are also taking part in the ceremonial parade even inspite of examination going on. The contingent from NCC Boys and girls of Government Higher Secondary School, Platoon from ESS Sector Government School, P Sector Secondary boys and girls platoon, girls platoon from Arunodaya Higher Secondary School and VKV Chimpu and band platoon of Abo-Tani Vidya Niketan.
There shall be several cultural dances performances by various schools and tribe which would attract the audiences and guest.
SDPO Itanagar Dekio Gumja shall led the parade as commander and Inspector Dojo Bagra will second in command.
Governor Dr. B D Mishra will unfurl the tricolour followed by ‘Rashtriya salute’ and band will play the national anthem, governor will also inspect the parade accompanied with DGP SBK Singh and parade commander Dekio Gumja and a spectacular march past will perform by the contingent in uniform and school children.
Governor will address to the people of state on the occasion while Chief Secretary Satya Gopal will announced the state award.
The tableau of various department will also be demonstrated on the occasion while distribution of trophies will also be done by the dignitaries.
Meanwhile Capital SP M Harsha Vardhan said that Capital Police has increased visible police activities like naka checking, ILP checking, hotel checking in view of the security sensitivity of the upcoming Republic Day celebrations, said Capital.
Various Quick Response Team (QRT) have also been put in place to deal with any situation, Vardhan added.
