The team of 12th Battalion of NDRF conducted a mock drill, relief and rescue operation in RKMS itanagar on Friday.

To tackle worst situations at the time of any emergency, including untoward incidents such as firing or natural disasters, the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), on Friday in a mock drill, conducted a training session on disaster management for the hospital staff, including doctors at RK Mission hospital premises.
Well-trained and equipped personnel from the elite NDRF 12th Battalion, based in Doimukh and Hollongi, demonstrated the emergency relief and rescue operations as part of the mock drill held at the building of the RK Mission Hospital at Ganga market.
Besides the attendants of patients and visitors at the Hospital, the para-medical staff and doctors reached the spot and watched the one-hour mock drill of the NDRF team that taught various ways to save one-self as well as rescue others in times of crisis such as earthquake.
The drill and exercise as well as awareness programme was held under the supervision of Commandant (medical) Dr. G M Sharma, Asstiant Commandant Vimal Gupta, Team Commander Insp. Sunil Kumar Shanti alongwith 38 NDRF personnel of 12th Battalion of NERF.
The management of the hospital also appreciated the mock drill conducted by the NDRF team.
