World Cancer Day- Army organised awareness campaign for the forces
Cancer, one of the most prevalent disease which is caused by factors like food habits, lifestyle and genetic predisposition requires awareness and regular screening.

On the occasion of ‘World Cancer Day’ on 02 Feb 2019, Trishakti Medicals of Indian Army conducted an awareness campaign for the forces, family members and children.
Talks on oral cancer and lungs cancer along with screening of health awareness movies were conducted to spread the awareness.
Students of Kendriya Vidyalaya and Army Public School Sukna, very enthusiastically participated in ‘Slogan Writing’ and ‘Poster Making’ to spread awareness in the environment.
A large number of soldiers, families and students took part in the event and appreciated the efforts towards awareness campaign.
The World Cancer Day is the one singular initiative under which the entire world can unite together in the fight against the global cancer epidemic. It takes place every year on 4th February.
World Cancer Day aims to save millions of preventable deaths each year by raising awareness and education about cancer, and pressing governments and individuals across the world to take action against the disease.
