A Schoolgirl has died after a motorcycle ( Royal Enfield ) hit her near St John’s School in Upper Karsingsa on Tuesday morning, while she was crossing the road. She later succumbed to her injuries, confirmed the Banderdewa police.
The girl was a a class IX student of Govt Secondary School, Karsingsa. She was identified as Tarh Ania – daughter of Tarh Kewu of Hiya village, Nyapin, Kurung Kumey district.
The Hiya Lumtey Youth Association has condoled the death of the girl and conveyed its heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.
Further, the Association demanded the police authority to arrest the culprit and punish him as per law of the land.
