JD (U) Candidate Jikke refutes BJP’s allegation, seeks early conduct of fresh poll in 20/6 Gimba, as there is no law and order problem over there- said Jikke

Janata Dal (United) candidate from 20-Tali Assembly Constituency, Jikke Tako on Friday rubbished all the allegations postulated by BJP and has sought for early conduct of re-poll in 20/6-Gimba Polling Station.
Addressing the reporters here at Arunachal Press Club, Jikke claimed that there is no law and order problem in Gimba rather alleged BJP Candidate Thaji Gichak Kiogi and his supporters of hijacking the polling team including Returning Officer of 20-Tali (ST) A/C and purposefully diverting their journey through wrong route to bar from entering Gimba PS.
“All the rumours surfacing around in social networking sites alleging JD (U) are misleading but those are the works of BJP,” charged Jikke adding that the genuine voters of the Gimba polling station are eagerly waiting in the village to exercise their adult franchise rights.
Stating that there is no law and order problem in Gimba village, he claimed that all the problems reported are created outside the village.
Quashing all the allegations labeled against him and JD (U) party, he in turn accused the BJP of dismantling the suspension over Kumey River between Nyodo and Gimba village and cutting down of the hanging bridge over Kumey River between Jha to Gimba Village.
Jikke also alleged his rival candidate and his supporters of obstructing the polling officers and team of their journey stating that BJP supporters hijacked RO Tali and 6-Gimba polling team from 24th April to 28th April last. “RO and polling team were almost detained at Dotte village and illegally constituted polling booth and casted vote proceeding there,” charged Jikke.
Lashing out the BJP for resorting to muscle power, he also questioned the effectiveness of RO and polling team. “SP John Pada was able to make it to Gimba polling station on 26th April last; if he managed to reached without any obstruction, why not the polling team,” further questioned Jikke.
In his letter to CEO, Jikke claimed that unauthorized arms and ammunition and other lethal weapons were used by BJP supporters to destroyed the bridges leading to Gimba.
He further stated that one Yorda Sagma, JD (U) supporter of Yorda village was shoot at his leg with a pistol on 28th April last during day time at Choba Village by BJP workers. He further informed that Sagma is still undergoing treatment at Niba Hospital, Naharlagun.
Seeking for early conduct of re-poll, Jikke said that genuine voters consisted of students, women, differently able persons and senior citizens who had come to the village for voting are facing various problems and acute shortages of food supply and accommodation.
“They cannot wait for long period of time; those with the kids need medical attention while some are about to miss educational examination and admission,” added the JD (U) candidate.
Meanwhile responding to the repeated poll violence and destroying of public properties like bridge in the area during election, Jikke alleged BJP Candidate Thaji and former MLA Markio Tado of indulging in such activities to win election. “Before their time, there used to be a peaceful election, but now we are seeing repeated act of damaging bridge in their time,” he further alleged.
On a prospect of conducting peaceful election in the future, he said that he will welcome a resolution between candidates of conducting free and fair election and even ready now. He further said, “It should be a collective effort from both and all the parties including leaders and social workers.”
He also appeal for peace among the citizens of Tali assembly constituency.
