Itanagar: private coaching institutes under scanner of Education department

The private coaching institutes in capital complex have come under the scanner of Education department, Govt of Arunachal Pradesh for violating Right to Education Act 2009.
All the private coaching institutes operating under the jurisdiction of Deputy Director of School Education, Itanagar Capital Complex has been asked clarification on sponsoring students at CBSE, Affiliated schools, which is a violation of section 18(5) (j) of Right to Education Act.
The notice served on 23 April as final notice, said that all private coaching institutes are under scanner, thus principal/ chairman/manager/owner are directed to report to Deputy Director of School Education, Itanagar Capital Complex within 15 days from the issue of the notice.
Asking clarification on the matter and as to why action shouldn’t be initiated against them as per Arunachal Pradesh Education rules -2010 for the repeated violation, despite several strict directions issued from time to time from the state Education Department, said the official notice.
While taking cognizance of prevailing scenario, DDSE Mallo Yam Gollo said, ‘’they should come and visit to department, if any complaint we are there’’. We hardly do monitor as running of coaching institute is a business which is welcome step. But all business establishment need to adhere to required guidelines and system and there should be no any nuisance and against the interest the education system. she added.
Clearing the department’s stance on the matter, she said, ‘’In the name of coaching, many businesses are running like a school which is not as per laid down guidelines. We will initiate action against it and those who run these school hostels without following systematic and rules and regulation of administration.’’
She appealed all stakeholders as well as parents that the parents of ward can admit their children at any school but should verify the credential and detail of said schools. She also appeal all likeminded people to come forward for promotion for education scenario.
It is mentioned that there are seventy four government run school in entire capital complex. The school which include five Higher Secondary school, Seven Secondary school, twenty six government middle school and thirty six government primary school.
However in private category there are one hundred one numbers of school functioning in capital complex of which sixty eight recognized school, Twenty under process school, five unrecognised school and eight newly applied school in capital complex.
