Itanagar- President, First Lady plant saplings in Raj Bhavan

The President of India Mr Ram Nath Kovind and First Lady Mrs Savita Kovind, on the concluding day of their visit to Itanagar, planted saplings of Indian Sandalwood (Santalum album) in the front lawn of Raj Bhavan, Itanagar on 20th November 2017 prior to their departure from the Raj Bhavan.
Hon’ble President and the First Lady appreciated the effort of the personnel involved in the horticultural management at Raj Bhavan and complemented the arrangement for the traditional plantation event by the visiting dignitaries.
The President of India also appreciated the serenity and greenery of the Raj Bhawan and admired its excellent ambience.
The Governor of Arunachal Pradesh Brig. (Dr.) B.D. Mishra and State’s First Lady Mrs Neelam Misra along with Raj Bhavan officials and staff were present on the occasion.
