Now Police will be available 24 x 7 on mobile phone and public need not to wait for officer to pick up landline phone attached in various police stations and adjoining area. Anyone can directly contact with duty officer and officer Incharge 24 x 7 for their genuine and legitimate complaint related to law and order.
SP, Papum Pare and Incharge Capital Tumme Amo informed that to speed the network and received immediate information related to law and order and other important grievances of the public the Police have issued mobile numbers which shall be used as helpline for the general public
These mobile numbers shall be used by night emergency duty officer (NEDO) in the night while OC/2nd OC in the day time. Any public can report any crimes or accidents or any public nuisance etc or even senior officers can call and give necessary direction and monitor working of the officers at Police Station. Direction have also been given to respective OCs shall ensure that these mobile are always kept switch on with an officer round the clock to attend the public complaint/reports at once.
Amo further appeal the wise and good citizens to save these mobile numbers to call the respective police station in the time of emergency and need like any complaint/report/information and help. He also said that these numbers may not be misused as police is always for your service he said
After saving these numbers general public specially the vulnerable section like single working lady and other who works at night and other would be benefited.
