Itanagar: Alo Libang releases Information Education & Communication materials

Alo Libang, Minister WCD, SJETA and H&FW  released the Information Education & Communication (IEC) materials under Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana(PMMVY) on Monday  at his office at AP Civil Secretariat.

Minister appreciated the department’s efforts in customising IEC materials for the state. He also appreciated team PMMVY i.e. CDPOs, Supervisors and Anganwadi Workers & Helpers  for enrolling more than 10 thousand beneficiaries in the system and paying 8,730 beneficiary till date.

He has assured all help and co-operation from his side and requested every one spread the word around so that eligible beneficiaries can benefit from the Scheme.

PMMVY scheme is a conditional Maternity program of Ministry of Women & Child Development, Government of Arunachal Pradesh under which an amount of Rs 5000/- ( Five thousand) is given to first time mother in three installments subject to fulfillment of terms and conditions.

The cash transfers in done through DBT mode to beneficiaries account using web based system called PMMVY common application software. The scheme is implemented by Department of Women & Child Development here in the state.

Speaking on the occasion Mrs .T.P.Loyi, Director said that ICE materials has been designed giving local touch so that target beneficiaries can easily identify with the scheme and take benefit of the scheme.

She told the design of hoardings contains models in various tribal attires of the state. She mentioned that IEC contains video,radio jingle also, which are in simple language that can be understood by everyone in the State.

Smt. N Ringu, DD(Hq), Dorjee K Thungon Nodal Officer(PMMVY), Lenzing Tagi CDPO(Hq) and other officials of Directorate of WCD attended the Program.
