Integration and Motivational Tour for School Children

The Assam Regimental Centre hosted 87 cadets and 05 civil staffs from Sainik School, Punglwa, Nagaland. The responsibility for the conduct of the tour was of Assam Regimental Centre.
A welcome tea and reception was organised for the cadets on the evening of 14 May 2017 at Assam Regimental Centre, thereafter on 15 and 16 May 2017 the cadets visited various institutions of the Centre to include Offr’s Mess, Bishnu Museum, War Memorial, Counter Insurgency Village, Precision Shooting Range and Training Area.
The cadets got first hand experience about the life in Army and how the training is conducted. The cadets were also introduced to the glorious history and tradition of Assam Regiment.
The cadets were highly motivated to join Assam Regiment post schooling through NDA.
The cadets also went to see tourist places in and around Shillong to include Cheerapunji, Elephant Falls, Don Bosco Museum and Shillong peak.
