Committee for Fast Tract Land Acquisition Policy Formed

Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu made a nine member Committee of senior officers to frame a policy under the state government to fast tract the Land acquisition process. He directed constitution of the committee during a meeting with the General Officer Commanding 4 Corps, Lt General D Anbu, AVSM, YSM, SM who called on his office today.
CM advised the committee to frame the policy in consultation with the Govt of India and submit the report within one month. This Policy would accelerate the land acquisition process by the Army and other Paramilitary Forces in the state.
Chief Minister asked Chief Secretary to create a separate Division to look into the Land Acquisition Process for Army, Paramilitary Forces, SSB and other Central Govt Organizations.
He requested Lt. General for expeditious disbursement of land compensation amount to the land owner to which the latter assured.
CM further said that the state govt would extend every possible support to the Army and also assured cooperation from the people of the state.
Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein, Chief Secretary Shakuntala Gamlin and Principal Secretary(Home), Satya Gopal were present in the meeting.
