A devastating fire at Deomali town in Triprap dist left one person dead and six shops burnt to ashes.

One person died in a devastating fire mishap early this morning at Deomali Market line in Deomali town of Tirap district. The devastating fire mishap have also gutted 6 shop completely.
Till the local police, army personnel’s and fire brigade which arrive from the Khonsa, the district headquarter which is around 50 km away, fire spread in the area.
Fire brigade from the Khonsa Fire station which took around 1 and half hours to reach the spot and douse the fire from spreading into the locality. Till then five shops and a small hut roofed with CGI sheet was completely gutted in the devastating fire mishap. All belongings and commodities kept in the shop and house was completely gutted, Meena said.
Tirap SP J Meena have confirmed the incident where 6 shops have been completely gutted and one life have been lost this morning at around 4 AM. Meena inform that as per information and sources it is assume that the fire broke out from the hut of Ashim Ghosh who was in drunken position and himself could not save from the fire and due which he was charred to death. He said that one fire tender will be stationed from tomorrow at Deomali as it is a demand of the people of long back.
There is no fire station in the township and the people of the area have been pressing hard for providing of Fire tender and establishment of fire station with administration as well as local elected representative but still not materialised.
