Arunachal: New Chief Secretary calls on the Governor
The Governor wished the Chief Secretary a successful and satisfying tenure in the most strategically located Frontier State of Arunachal Pradesh.

New Chief Secretary of the State, Naresh Kumar, IAS called on the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh Brig. (Dr.) B.D. Mishra (Retd.) at Raj Bhavan, Itanagar on 13th August 2019. While welcoming him to the State, the Governor shared the expectations of the people from the highest bureaucratic chair of the Chief Secretary.
The Governor, who has already toured every district of the State, advised the New Chief Secretary of the important areas which need immediate attention. He expressed his concerns, particularly of the health and education amenities in far-flung areas of the State.

Naresh Kumar, IAS (AGMUT, 1987), has taken over the charge of Chief Secretary Arunachal Pradesh relieving present incumbent Satya Gopal, IAS (AGMUT 1988) on 13th August 2019 in Civil Secretariat, Itanagar.
Prior to joining Arunachal Pradesh Naresh Kumar was Chairman New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC).
Earlier, Kumar has also served in Arunachal Pradesh under various capacities as Additional Deputy Commissioner Naharlagun and also as Deputy Commissioner, Ziro, Lower Subansiri.
