Mass Social services have been conducted at various parts of state by various organisation which include political party, NGOs, and students organisation for mass awareness on sanitation for healthy and happy life.
At Naharlagun
Members from BJP and public voluntarily renovated dilapidated roads in Polo Colony. The social service was conducted by Polo Colony Booth Level Committee (BLC) headed by President Heri Jyoti and BJP City Unit Treasurer Tarh Achak.
At Balijan
The executive members of All Popum Poma Students Union (APPSU) conducted social service and plantation programme at Lengka Middle School campus in association with students and teachers, locals and staffs of Forest department with support of Bandedrewa Forest Division. APPSU President and General Secretary Teli Sera while motivated the students community to have such more programme in Sangdupota, Blaijan and Tarasso circle with the Forest Department with theme ‘ save tree, save environment’ and appeal all to come forward for protection of environment and forest.
At Bhalukpong (West Kameng)
The executive members of All Aka (Hrusso) Students Union (AARSU, All Bhalukpong Youth Welfare Association (ABYWA), women groups committee members of Lepang futu and others conducted social service and clean the area of the famous waterfall ‘lumum fall’ on Bhalukpong-Bomdila road today. The members also cleaned the nearby area and painted stones and boulders at the waterfall site so that the tourist on its way to Bomdila and Tawang do not face inconveniences at the waterfall site.
At Poncho, (Longding )
A mass social service was conducted by the Wancho Student’s Union (WSU) within Pongchau town, in Longding district . The cleaning drive was carried out under SWATCHH BHARAT ABHIYAN.
Hundreds of students, govt. employees and villagers joined the programme and have participated in the drive with much zeals, fervour and joy. “Such mammoth participation was such an unexpected and we are really happy to see the enthusiasm and concern of our people towards the cleanliness”, said the Principal of Govt. Higher Secondary School, Pongchau, who was also a participant of the gathering.
