The chief minister of Arunachal Pradesh Pema Khandu has called all party meeting on Monday, to discuss the ongoing situation of the state. Khandu may take the decision for president rule in the state after the meeting.
Meanwhile the chief minister Pema Khandu yesterday clarified his govt’s stand on PRC and said that his Govt never planned to bring any type of bill on PRC. Govt wants only to discuss the issue on the Assembly floor.
Khandu also said that his govt is still ready to discuss the issue with all stakeholders.
CM also appealed to the people to maintain peace and tranquillity .
It must be mentioned here that thousands of protesters burnt the house of Dy chief minister Chowna Mein and ransacked several govt offices including Itanagar Police station, and Dy commissioner office.
In light of the worsening situation of the state and the twin capital cities of Itanagar and Naharlagun in particular due to the ongoing protests regarding the issue of granting PRC to non APST residents of Namsai and Changlang, the Chief secretary has issued an official statement today morning on behalf of the government of Arunachal Pradesh that no further action will be taken with regards to the said issue.
