Newly appointed Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) President Nabam Tuki said that they will put up a collective effort to regain the trust and confidence of people of Arunachal Pradesh congress party towards the party. “I am sure that the congress party will definitely get back its lost glory, but for that party should revive from grassroots level”, Tuki added.
He also called for collective efforts from the members of the party to regain people’s trust and confidence, while addressing at the official joining cum reception programme as president of APCC here at jam packed Rajiv Bhawan.
During the reception ceremony, newly appointed CLP leader of the state Lombo Tayeng and other two Congress MLAs, Ninong Ering and Wanglin Lowangdong were also felicitated.
While addressing the gathering, Tuki said that ” despite securing only 4 seats out of 60 seats in the State Assembly, we can still revive and regain the party if we collectively work together with honesty and , dedication”.
He further claimed that ” at present the developmental work going on all over the state are the result of planning of previous congress government”.

“All the highways and roads, airports and infrastructure developments etc., that have come up in the state were all sanctioned by the UPA I and II government,” he claimed.
CLP leader of the state Lombo Tayeng also stated that they will work for the interest and welfare of the people. He assured of honest and constructive opposition.
“If the State government does anything for the benefit and welfare of the society, we will wholeheartedly give our support. But if the government brings up something like PRC or CAB issue that can disintegrate the society, we will stand tall and oppose it,” he added.
He stated that many people still have soft corner for the Congress party everywhere and added that they need to organize and reassure their views and ideology to regain the people’s trust.
Meanwhile, former APCC president Takam Sanjoy made a strong claim that it is not due to Modi wave that they lost the election but they lost due to money culture supplemented by ‘ruling’ slogan. He said that a slogan so called ‘ruling’ used for ruling government still prevails in Arunachal politics.
He said that the ‘ruling’ slogan used by Congress party while they were in power backfire them at this election. “I have learnt a big lesson.
Apart from them, APCC Vice President Bosiram Siram, MLA Ninong Ering and MLA Wanglin Lowangdong, APCC General Secretary (organization) Tamchi Tahar, Vice president Nani Rajen and others also spoke on the occasion.
