Arunachal Governor extend tributes to the martyrs of the Kargil War

The Governor of Arunachal Pradesh Brig. (Dr.) B.D. Mishra (Retd.), on behalf of the people of Arunachal Pradesh and on his own behalf has extended solemn tribute to the martyrs of the Kargil War on the historic occasion of ‘Kargil Vijay Diwas’.

He expressed his optimism that the sacrifices made by the martyrs will continue to inspire the present and future generations to rise to the occasion in support of the frontline soldiers who guard the frontiers of the Motherland.

The Governor in his message said that Kargil Vijay Diwas is a very special day for every Indian. In the 60-day War, demonstrating unparalleled valour, many of our soldiers and officers made the ultimate sacrifice for the defence of our country.

This War saw the display of the steel like courage, superb commitment, supreme patriotism and unflinching loyalty of the soldiers and officers of the Indian Armed Forces towards the nation, he said.

On this Day, I join every Arunachali in saluting our martyrs. Let us remind ourselves of the sacrifices our brave soldiers made for the territorial integrity of the country. As a befitting honour to all our martyrs, let us take pledge to protect, preserve and defend every inch of our Bharat, the Governor urged the people in his message.
