Security forces apprehended five NDFB ( s ) cadres from a village near by Jairampur of Arunachal Pradesh .

Jairampur Battalion and Changlang Battalion of the Assam Rifles along with the Army apprehended five NDFB cadre, a defence source informed.
Based on intelligence regarding presence of NDFB(S) Cadres in Jairampur, a joint operation was launched by unit of Red Horns Division, Assam Rifles and Jairampur police on the night of 15th of November which resulted in apprehension of 5 insurgents of NDFB(S) Group
Large number of arms and ammunition including four pistols and one carbine along with other incriminating evidence were recovered from them.
Myanmar trained NDFB(S) cadres were identified as Biswajit Basumatary @ B.Birsha, Devika Muchahary @ M. Daobaisuli, Sampa Basumatary @ B. Sarfao, Dwimu Brahma @ Dwijiri,& Birkhang Basumatary@ B Bwsrang,
The complete group was apprehended when an ambush was laid while infiltrating into India. The Operation resulted in recovery of large cache of arms, ammunition. The cadres along with seized items were handed over to police.
The joint operation was clearly a depiction of synergy and cooperation between different security forces and also exhibits continued security measures taken by Army to quell insurgency and maintain peace and harmony in the region.
