Arunachal: Felix met Student leaders in relation to Hamara Arunachal Abhiyan

Bamang Felix informed the student leaders about the objectives of Hamara Arunachal Abhiyan and its requirement with regard to the current scenario prevailing in the state.

In continuation with the meeting with CBO’s at PHQ on Sep 27,  a series of meeting was conducted at the residence of  Home Minister informing about the Hamara Arunachal Abhiyan (HAA) and its launching on 2nd Oct, 2019 to commemorate the 150th Birth Anniversary of Father of Nation- Mahatma Gandhi.

On 28th Sept, 2019 students union headed by AAPSU, District Students Unions, RGU Student Union, Chandigarh Students Union and representation of some Community based youth organisations participated in the meeting.

The Home Minister in his address informed the participating students about the objectives of Hamara Arunachal Abhiyan and its requirement with regard to the current scenario prevailing in the state.

He further informed that this Abhiyan is non-budgeted, initiated by the state Govt. for voluntary participation of all the residents of Arunachal in containing law and order situation along with the state police.

Hayang Mangfi, MLA and former student leader, hailed the initiation of the Home dept and pledged his full support and cooperation in achieving the goal of HAA. He strongly advocated for active participation of students and youths for they will be the actual force who can bring changes at the ground level.

Hawa Bagang, President AAPSU, and other executive members of the Union, President of RGU students union, executive members of district students’ unions –  Kra-Dadi, Lower Siang, Kamle, Upper Subhansiri, West Kameng – also spoke on the occasion. They have unanimously agreed and pledged to be ambassadors of Hamara Arunachal Abhiyan.

On 29/09/2019, a meeting with Ex-Councillors, Executive Members of ACCI, AAPPTF, bazar welfare committees, sector committees, were organised at the residence of HHM.

The  Home Minister made an ardent appeal to them to become a part and parcel of HAA for greater interest of the state. The quest for safe, secure and serene Arunachal may not be achieved without active involvement of every citizen in the Hamara Arunachal Abhiyan.

All participants highly praised the initiative and in one voice assured their full support and agreed to lead the Abhiyan from the front. Further, they ensured their participation in the launching ceremony at I.G. Park, Itanagar on 2nd October next.
