“Earlier there were no internet and social media through which one can provide a news but today you have all the facilities, therefore you all have to avail full advantages of it,” said Dodum, adding that with the introduction of more electronic media houses in the state there would be a competition but it should be among the media houses not personal one, he urged.
The founder of the AEMA, a senior most journalist Taro Chatung while appreciating the present executive members headed by president Migom Toko informed that it was in the year 2012 July 29 when the AEMA was formed.
“Today I am glad to see, so many young boys and girls are working in electronic media,” said Chatung. The presence of young journalist is strengthening the importance of electronic media in the state as well as it will inspire the young generation in a days to come, he added.
To serve the people of the state, he also appealed state government to support and to work out proper policies for the welfare of electronic media houses.
During 1997 to 1999 there was only one pre-production electronic media house that is ‘News and Views’ that telecast through DDK but today existing electronic media houses has growth and rapidly growing, which is a matter of pride for the state as a whole.
