Arunachal: Chief Minister Pema Khandu calls on the Governor
Governor calls for more efficiency and effectiveness in the secretariat works

The Chief Minister Pema Khandu called on the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh Brig. (Dr.) B.D. Mshra (Retd.) at Raj Bhavan, Itanagar on 19th November 2019. They reviewed various developmental programmes and projects of the State.
The Governor, who is going to attend the forthcoming Conference of the Governors at the invitation of the President of India, discussed about issues which can be taken up in the conference and also in the Governor’s meetings with the Union Ministers.
Sharing his thought about good governance, the Governor called for more efficiency and effectiveness in the secretariat works. He also stressed on filling up of vacancies in the State Services.
The Governor said that our Public Service Commission must work tirelessly for flawless conduct of examinations for all State level grades and vacancies.
The Governor, while suggesting on expediting road projects to the Chief Minister, emphasised on the need of preserving the Tiger Reserves of Namdapha Forest.
The Governor reiterated on the timely allocation of necessary fund for the developmental works to the concerned departments well in time, so that the last-minute rush of release of funds at the close of the financial year is obviated.
Suggesting for strong mechanism to prevent leakage or misutilization of allocated public money, the Governor suggested that the State Public Accounts Committee must have regular meetings with the departments and bring in marked improvement in the situation.
