Arunachal: AAPLU observes 6th foundation

All Arunachal Pradesh Labour Union (AAPLU) observed its 6th foundation day cum interaction programme at its Head Office-Nirjuli today. President AAPLU, Dana Tadu hoisted the union flag to mark the day.
Addressing the gathering, Dana Tadu highlighted the various rights, schemes and projects available for the labour community. ‘ labour is the backbone of the state and country whether they are daily wage earner or government employee but everyone has equal contribution in the field of development’ added President AAPLU while appealing the community maintain discipline and sincerity in executing their duties.
He also briefed the benefits under Arunachal Pradesh Building and other Construction Welfare Borad and Arunachal Pradesh Employees’ State Insurance Society for the registered labours. There are other rights and basic amenities for labour community and we should fight for such basic rights, stated Tadu.
Meanwhile, he also expressed resentment over misuse of funds meant for Labour community by various authorities. “Government has sanctioned atleast Rs 4 crore during 2012-13 financial year for construction of labour barrack or labour guest house in various district but to utter surprise till date there is no barrack or guest house for the labours’ claimed President Dana Tadu and simultaneously sought intervention of concern authority.
Hundreds of AAPLU members from different districts and zone participated in the foundation day.
