Arunachal: Indrajit Tingwa, new Secretary of Arunachal Pali Vidyapith Society

One of the oldest NGOs of the state, Arunachal Pali Vidyapith Society, Chongkham has appointed Indrajit Tingwa as its new Secretary. Tingwa has taken formal charges from Tuesday.
Tingwa was selected as the new Secretary of the society in a general body meeting held on 18 April last which was attended by local MLA and Parliamentary Secretary, Environment and Forests besides the executive body members.
The society runs a school including residential facilities funded by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India by the name Arunachal Pali Vidyapith School which is amongst the few centres for Pali literature learning in the state.
It also runs a drugs de-addiction centre which has been rendering services for more than a decade now. It also runs and manages the Tai Khamti Singpho Museum cum Research Centre and Tourist Lodge within its campus at Chongkham.
The society also operates a Mobile Dispensary and targeted intervention programmes for prevention of HIV/AIDS covering three districts of Namsai, Lohit and Lower Dibang Valley.
