Chief Minister Pema Khandu has directed to place the report on Lower Siang issue in the next cabinet meeting for appropriate decision.
Khandu has stated that it shall be the sincere effort of the govt to bring this matter to a closure soon while respecting the sentiments of all stakeholders.
However administrative convenience and ease of governance must be objectively assessed in the larger interest for operability of the proposed district in particular and the state as a whole.
It must be mentioned here that the Group of Ministers(GOM) headed by Food & Civil Supplies & etc. Minister Kamlung Mossang with PHE & WS Minister Bamang Felix and Minister Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Dr. Mohesh Chai as members constituted by the state government to study the Lower Siang issue has already submitted their report to the government on July 25 last. The same was submitted to the chief secretary by the member secretary of the GOM.
