The Commission asked to Chief Secretary of Arunachal Pradesh Government, calling for a detailed report in the matter along with action taken against the guilty teachers and steps taken for counselling of the victim students.
On other hand the All Papum Pare District Students’ Union (APPDSU) appeal the Investigating Officer (IO) of Women Police PS, Itanagar to record the statement of 88 victim students of Class VI and VII of Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya, Tani Hapa, Papum Pare district at school itself without summoning the students and their parents at Itanagar, so that victim students and their parents are not harassed unnecessarily while seeking justice.
Talking to Arunachal24 APPDSU President Nabam Tado said that , the Victim students and their respective parents should lodge F.I.R against the accused teachers otherwise case might become weak wherein All Sagalee Students’ Union (ASSU) has lodged F.I.R at Sagalee, Police Station.
APPDSU further demanded the State Government to constitute district wise Vigilance Committee to monitor government, private and NGO run residential schools so that any such untoward incidents and happening are not repeat in near future.
