4 Corps GOC Lt Gen GS Sangha calls on Arunachal CM

Lt Gen Gurpal Singh Sangha, the new general officer commanding (GOC) of the Indian Army’s Frontier Gajraj Corps (4 Corps) called on Chief Minister Pema Khandu today at his office.
During the call on, issues related to defence land acquisition were discussed. Issues relating to the establishment of an Army cantonment here were also discussed.
Khandu, while congratulating the Lt Gen on assumption of his new charge, assured all cooperation from the state government.
The state government had requested the defence ministry for setting up of an Army cantonment here, and accordingly the ministry had approved it in principle.
The Tezpur-based 4 Corps has finalised land near Rakap village in Sangdupota circle under Papum Pare district.
