Itanagar: ADM Talo Potom carried out inspection on NH-415

Additional District Magistrate (ADM) Talo Potom today carried out inspection on the National Highway (NH-415) from Chandanagar to Akashdeep with PWD Highway officers, officials of TK engineering consortium Pvt. ltd and quality control officer etc.
Potom while speaking to media said that ” the work was bit slow may be due to several obstruction and hindrances on the widening and construction of NH-415 , which could have been resolved.
He inform that the space which was available on the alignment of the old road can also be utilized for parking and other purposes which is being surveyed and inspected today.
He inform that several utility services like electric poles and other are still in ROW and other issue are being verified and noted which would be reported to the Chief Secretary with a proper report of the inspection with suggestion and remarks immediately for a direction.
With regards to the complete eviction on the National Highway, Potom said that the road was under the capital district administration and several point on the stretch is yet to be evicted and due to which several utility services is yet to be replaced or shifted by either line department and individuals. Potom said.
With regards to work progress and monitoring and supervision, Potom inform that I am hopeful that the road constructed in time with a quality. However it is seen that several work is yet to be completed. It is also observed that there are several hindrances which is yet to resolved. If the agency is given free hand hope that road is constructed in time with a quality.
PWD Highway, NIrjuli Division Executive Engineer Nani Tath inform that we have done several review meeting. In terms of physical progress around 61 % of work have been completed. There are two stretch in Itanagar and hope that they complete by January 10, in between Itanagar-Naharlagun the road blockage in night hours is till January 20 but the formation cutting may not be completed but the risk factor would be cleared and hope the work may even continue.

With regards to quality, Tath said that quality control, FRL and alignment is being monitored and supervised by quality engineers. Hope that everything goes well and commuters cooperate the executing agency so that the work progress continue on war footing. He inform that I have informed ADM of the work progress and several other issue including court cases so as to inform to the higher level for immediate resolution and the work progress does not get any hindrances. Tath added.
