Hamara Arunachal Abhiyan: 4500 Student Solar Ambassador takes part with own solar lamp
Trained in Student Solar Ambassador Workshop, more than 4500 students from Arunachal Pradesh assembled with their own solar lamp kit on 2nd October 2019.

During the launching of Hamara Arunachal Abhiyan “with the effort to sensitize young minds about energy sustainability and environmental care, Chief Minister launched the solar mission and administered pledge to students from various schools to play the role of Student Solar Ambassador. Chief Minister also administered pledge on swachhata hi sewa. More than 4500 students from Arunachal Pradesh assembled their own solar lamp kit on 2nd October 2019.
More than 3000 students from 22 different schools at Arunachal Pradesh Science Centre and more than 1500 at different Vivekanda Kendra Vidayalayas 21 Nos in different schools of Arunachal Pradesh making the event Pan Arunachal.
The event was organised with an aim of to create awarnes about the Climate Change, to promote Solar Energy and skill development.
During the event an exhibition on Gandhi, Science Technology and Innovation was also organised at I.G. Park.
Student Solar Ambassador Workshop a seed concept of Gandhi Global Solar Yatra-2019 a global event to mark the 150th Birth Anniversay of Mahatma also marked as “International Day of Non-violence”organised on 2nd October, 2019 during launch of Hamara Arunachal Abhiyan by A.P. State Council for Science & Technology, Department of Science & Technology, Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh, Itanagar under the supervision of Amyanker A Ajit, IAS, Secretary Science & Technology, IT and, Smt Bhanu Prabha, IAS, Special Secretary, IT, Nodal Officer, Hamara Arunachal and C. D. Mungyak, Director cum Member Secretary, A.P. State Council for Science & Technology, Department of Science & Technology, Govt. of Arunachal pradesh, Itanagar.

The programme was culminated by taking pledge on Non-Violence to Environment followed by lighting of Student Solar lamp by HCM,DCM, Ld. CS, HHM, DGP, Ministers and participating students.
