DC directed PHED to keep security of WTP at Senki View area

Itanagar Capital district administration directed PHED to keep security of Water Treatment Plant at Senki View area, and if necessary deploy the security personnel.
The district administration issued this direction in view of several complainant and appeal from the local people and social activist in view of polluting of Water Treatment Plant (WTP) area and its intake area near in Senki river in Senki View by way of bathing, clothes, organising of picnic and other activities by youth.
Dc, Prince Dhawan while talking to arunachal24, said that it is a serious issue, as there acute scarcity of water supply in capital complex due to breakdown of water supply system of Itanagar as well as Naharlagun and these spots of water intake should be kept near and clean and hygiene, there should be no interference by anyone as the water need to safe to drink. However the water supplied through Senki View are being carried out by tanker to supply to various colony and sector is a safe and treated water as informed by the PHED officials Dhawan said.
He said that complaint have also been received from visitors and public residing in and around the area about the creating of water dirty by taking bath bat thereby causing water hazards and health problems.
Dhawan said he have written a letter to PHED, Itanagar division to hire private security personnel and deploy them at Water Treatment Plant at Senki View, Itanagar and also to put up signboard prohibiting such activities near WTP at the earliest.
He said he have also directed the capital police to conduct patrolling in Senki View and Senki Park area at regular interval for safety and security of the WTP and area.
