BSF Apprehended 3 Hawala agent, Seized Huge Hawala money

Intelligence wing of Border Security Force ( BSF ) apprehended 3 Hawala agents with a Huge Hawala money from South west Khasi Hills district of Meghalaya. On the basis of a tip of information BSF troop along with local police party conduct a raid and apprehended Jyotish Pal, and Manu Roy, both are resident of Ranikore are of south west khasi hill and arrested him. BSF troop seized Bangladesh Taka 8.97 lac from Mnau, and 1.86 lac from Jyotish pal.
Later on information of both the apprehended persons, the BSF party arrested third suspected person namely Ram Dev from his house. The BSF seized total BD Taka 10.83 lac which was meant for exchange of currency through illegal means from Bangladesh Taka to Indian Rupees as revealed by the apprehended persons.
Further investigation is under progress. The possibility of smuggling of contraband items in lieu of this money through International border can’t be ruled out. BSF Intelligence branch had zeroed these racketeers since last few days and kept them under close watch. The involvement of some bordering people in such anti national activity has always been a cause of concern for the border men.
The apprehended racketeers were handed over to PS Ranikor for further disposal and legal action as per law of land.
