Arunachal: Polling personnel’s and materials airlifted to Vijayanagar

However for attempt for lifting of poling personnels and poling materials for Taksing in Upper Subansiri district will be done on April 6 and 7 respectively.

The polling personnel’s and polling materials for Vijayanagar in Changlang have been airlifted today from Miao in Changlang district.

Deputy Chief Election Officer (DCEO) Liken Koyu inform that a total of thirty two polling personnel  (including police personnels) today left from Miao to Vijayanagar circle who were airlifted by airforce helicopter and reached Vijayanagar safely by 2 PM .

He said that polling personnel’s and materials meant for Vijayanagar circle of 50 Miao ST assembly constituency where four polling station namely Ramnagar having 252 voters, Gandhigram having 1338 electors, Vijoynagar having 865 electors and Two-Hut having 726 electors and a total elector of 3181 in the circle.

Three helicopter have been requisitioned for election purpose two from Naharlagun and third from Miao. He said.

The personnel’s and election materials for Pipsrang  circle (20 Tali assembly constituency) in Kra Daadi district could not be materialised as the helicopter could not fly from Naharlagun helipad due to odd weather.  attempt will made again on Friday wherein 112 personnels will be airlifted. He said.

However for attempt for lifting of poling personnels and poling materials for Taksing in Upper Subansiri district will be done on April 6 and 7 respectively. Koyu added.
