Arunachal: Pema Khandu appreciates VKV’s role in education field

Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu today visited the Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya and appreciated VKV’s role in education field.

Chief Minister Pema Khandu today visited the Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya (VKV) here accompanied by MLAs Jambey Tashi, Phurpa Tsering, Dorjee Wangdi Kharma, Tsering Tashi and former Speaker TN Thongdok.

Chief Minister in his speech appreciated the VKV’s role in laying a strong foundation for the education in Arunachal. He promised that memorandum submitted by the school for development of the institute will be honoured.

In his advice to the students, Chief Minister urged them to lead a disciplined life, which he said will help them in fulfilling their ambition in life. He also advised the student to focus on having a strong educational foundation so that they may be well prepared for any future competition, which is only getting stronger each passing day.

He advised the student to participate in all co-curricular activities. He said winning or losing is not important but what is important is in participation. He further said the whole state has high hopes on the younger generation, as they have to lead the nation in future.

Also on the occasion, Chief Minister addressed the local public gathered. Responding to a memorandum submitted by Shergaon Village Council for construction of Shergaon – Demachang road and extension of Shergaon-Doimara-foothill – Misamari – Thelamara road, Chief Minister promised to take up the project in consultation with local MLA and DC. Also CM informed on the occasion that guest houses for Balemu, Tenzingaon and Shergaon has been sanctioned whose construction will start this year to boost tourism activity.

Following the meeting at VKV, Chief Minister held a small public meeting at Domkho village. On memorandum from local public, Chief Minister assured to take up the demand for a mini hydel project and for conversion of health sub centre to primary health centre.
